Maximum number of cell characters

David Jan 30, 2017 12:59PM PST

I mapped a set of 1,300 projects/rows in BatchGeo Pro, all with either 37 or 38 columns of data. For the first 37 columns, the data was relatively brief with 50 characters per cell or fewer. The 38th column, however, could have as many as 540 characters. When mapping the 37-column data set, there were no issues. When adding the 38th column with larger amounts of characters, columns became misaligned in the table on BatchGeo.com. What is causing this? Is there a way to fix? Finally, is there a character limit for cells? Thank you for your time and help!

Hi David,

We recommend 14 columns total. Once you go beyond that, then you are pushing the limits of the system, especially with maps over 15,000 addresses.

You can have more columns, but we cannot guarantee performance after you go beyond that.

Thank you,
Tracy
